KET, Shaker Village, Frazier History Museum, and Transylvania University invite you to attend a free premiere screening of a new PBS program: Live from Lincoln Center - Simple Gifts: The Chamber Music Society at Shaker Village

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performs amidst the bluegrass countryside of Kentucky. Filmed on location in May 2015, the event captures the unique intimacy of a chamber music concert inside the Meadow View Barn, a restored tobacco barn at Shaker Village. The performance features distinctive American composers including Gottschalk and Barber, highlighted by Copland's beloved Appalachian Spring featuring the popular "Simple Gifts" Shaker melody. The program broadcasts Friday, Sept. 9 at 9:30/8:30 pm on KET.

The events are free, but registration is required.
